500 applicants to study at CIO-Mijas
Since the announcement was made in May for applications to take specialisation courses at the Andalusian Centre for Integrated Training in the Leisure Industries (CIO-Mijas), the centre has received 500 application forms from students who want to deepen their knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industries. |

Extraordinary results of Málaga Fair international press trip
The Costa del Sol Tourist Board considered the press trip gathering journalists from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, the UK, and Russia for Málaga Fair to have been a huge success. The trip was organised by the Tourist Board itself and the Málaga Town Hall. The twenty journalists were satisfied with the trip and the service provided by both institutions’ staff. |

Inbound tourists – July 2009
Travellers coming to Málaga Province by plane in July 2009 totalled 693,418, i.e. 6.70 pct less than in July 2008 (743,174 airport arrivals). |

Russian travel agents come to the Costa del Sol
The International Marketing Department of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board has welcomed a group of thirty Russian travel agents who came on a fam trip organised by Turismo Andaluz. The Russian group came to Málaga as a result of the contact made at the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT). They represented the tour operator Vremia Tour. |

Dunas de Artola-Cabopino Natural Monument
The north-westerly winds and the coastal streams brought lots of sandy sediments to this place, giving rise to a 20-kilometre dune chain. In recent years, the chain has shortened, so that now the Dunas de Artola Natural Monument (a Protected Natural Space) stands as a silent witness to what this magnificent coastal area in Málaga used to be. |
