FYCMA to host about ten conferences in 2010, gathering experts from all over the world
The Málaga Trade Fair and Conference Centre (FYCMA) is playing host to around ten conferences in 2010. Most of them will be international events, drawing at least 500 people each. On the whole, thus, over 12,000 conference attendees from all over the world are expected to come to Málaga and address current issues in fields ranging from medicine to meetings travel. |

Riogordo’s “The Passion” to be staged at night on July 31 and August 1
On July 31 and August 1, there will be special night performances of “The Passion” (El Paso) in Riogordo. Put on by local residents, “The Passion” was designated as a Fiesta of National Tourist Interest in 1997, and now they want it to become a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest. The night specials were announced in a press conference held at the seat of the Provincial Government of Málaga. |

Inbound tourists – May 2009
Travellers coming to Málaga Province by plane in May 2009 totalled 580,261, i.e. 8.27 pct less than in May 2008 (632,549 airport arrivals). |

Russian travel agents come to the Costa del Sol
The International Marketing Department of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board has welcomed a group of thirty Russian travel agents who came on a fam trip organised by Turismo Andaluz. The Russian group came to Málaga as a result of the contact made at the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT). They represented the tour operator Vremia Tour. |
