Málaga Convention Centre: 2nd Spanish venue to be granted global accessibility certification
The Málaga Exhibition and Conference Centre (FYCMA) has become the second convention centre in Spain and the first one in Andalusia to get Global Accessibility Certification, the first one being Donostia-San Sebastián’s Kursaal Centre (Guipúzcoa). The certificate, granted by the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification (AENOR), guarantees that FYCMA is a fully accessible building. |

Mexican travel agents come visiting the Costa del Sol
The National Marketing Department of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board has been involved in the planning of a fam trip to Andalusia for a group of Mexican travel agents. Organised by Turismo Andaluz, the trip had been requested by Miguel Nieto-Sandoval San Segundo, the Secretary of Tourism at the Spanish Embassy in Mexico. |

Travellers coming to Málaga Province by plane in December 2008 totalled 319,398, i.e. 8.86 pct more than in December 2007 (293,407 airport arrivals). |

The Tourist Board attends TUI’s training seminar
Staff members from the Costa del Sol Tourist Board have attended a training seminar organised by TUI in Málaga. TUI Inside is an unprecedented exclusive promotional activity used by the leading tour operator in the world and the number one in Germany to carry out its most important marketing campaign in Andalusia, resulting from a cooperation agreement between TUI and the regional tourism promotion agency. |

Horse Riding School
The close connection between Andalusia and horses is reflected in the activities carried out by the Costa del Sol Horse Riding School at Km. 159 of National Road 340, aimed at fostering the love of equestrian sports and training horse experts, as well as organising beautiful equestrian shows and horse riding tours in breathtaking natural settings. |
