The tourism sector will be eligible to Renove Plan as of 15 January
Hotel renovation, meeting new tourist demands, or incorporating new technologies are big economic and structural challenges to the travel industry. The necessary investment can now be alleviated by subsidies in the Renove Turismo Plan, to become available as of 15 January. On 21 November, the Government passed the plan’s budget for 2009, amounting to €400M. |

German travel agents and tour operators come to the Costa del Sol
Several groups of German travel agents visited Málaga in the past few months, on a series of fam trips organised by the Costa del Sol Tourist Board and other government agencies, such as Turismo Andaluz or Spanish Tourist Offices. First of all, we welcomed a group of fifteen tour operators specialising in cultural travel, in a trip organised with the Spanish Tourist Office in Frankfurt after a request made by Turismo Andaluz. The group visited other provinces in Andalusia as well, following the Washington Irving Al-Andalus Legacy Route. |

Antequera
Antequera is one of the towns with the richest cultural heritages in Andalusia. It is almost impossible to get to know all its landmarks in a single day. However, occasional tourists can get quite an accurate glimpse of the city and its surroundings if they visit just the dolmens in Viera, Menga and El Romeral, the Collegiate Church of Santa María, the Town Museum, and the natural spot of El Torcal. |
