Costa del Sol Tourist Board gets “Dirigentes” Quality Award
The Costa del Sol Tourist Board has been given the “Dirigentes” magazine’s Quality Award in the Andalusian edition of the prizes. The award-giving ceremony will take place at the Meliá Sevilla Hotel today, 18 October, at 8:00 p.m. It will be attended by the President of the Andalusian Government, Manuel Chaves, and the Tourist Board President, Juan Fraile, who will receive the prize on behalf of our institution. |

Hotel Occupancy Rate – August 2007
In August 2007, 611,442 travellers stayed in accommodation facilities on the Costa del Sol. This is 18.73 pct more than in August 2006, when the region’s hotels accommodated 514,982 guests. |

Escalante Tower in Istán
The Escalante Tower, a silent witness to many of the most important historical facts of Moorish times, was built in the 15th century. A vaulted room, a round arch, and a yard for the cavalry are what remains of the original sturdy building. |
