New headquarters for Costa del Sol Tourist Board in June

In June, the Costa del Sol Tourist Board will move to its new headquarters, when the construction company finishes its work and the building is ready for occupancy. The Tourist Board’s new headquarters will be located in a historic building that belonged to Espejo Hermanos since the early twentieth century, and was acquired from the family in 2002 for €2,103,542.

Tourist Cross-Border Movements – March 2007

A study carried out by the Tourism Studies Institute (IET), indicating that, in March 2007, 4.1 million international tourists arrived in This means a 6.9 pct increase over March 2006. (The study presented this week is only available in Spanish).

Hotel Occupancy Rate – March 2007

In March 2007, 359,634 travellers stayed in accommodation facilities on the Costa del Sol. This is 6.47 pct more than in March 2006, when the region’s hotels accommodated 337,766 guests.
