“Oportunidades SIMed”: A new event for property agents and developers

From April 29 to May 2, the Málaga Trade Fair and Conference Centre (FYCMA) is playing host to a new property show, “Oportunidades SIMed.” These kinds of events, independent of the Mediterranean Property Show (SIMed), are becoming increasingly popular. It was created to meet the sales needs of property agents and developers facing huge stocks of homes for sale, and to give a boost to trade in the sector.

The Costa del Sol Convention Bureau carries out door-to-door campaign in the UK

The Costa del Sol Convention Bureau has carried out a promotional campaign in UK. It was a door-to-door campaign in which they visited big travel agencies in nine cities, namely, Coventry, Gloucester, Eastbourne, Farham, Bath, Haywards Health, Leamington Spa, Stroud, and Bradford on Avon.

Travellers coming to Málaga Province by plane in December 2009 totalled 319,536, i.e. 0.08 pct more than in January 2009 (319,290 airport arrivals).

Fitur: Good results with fewer participating companies

Despite the crisis and the lower number of participating companies, the Costa del Sol Tourist Board has considered its presence at Fitur (Madrid, January 20 to 24) to have been positive. According to our President, Salvador Pendón, “meetings went according to plan, and they are expected to give rise to important agreements.” This year, our presence in the event was austere, as we relied on a budget that was 30% lower than in the past edition.

Hiking in Sierra de las Nieves

The township of Tolox belongs to the region of Valle del Guadalhorce. However, geographically speaking, it’s in Serranía de Ronda, within Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park –an area affording some of the most beautiful landscapes in Málaga Province, between Puerto de los Pilones and Pico de la Torrecilla (1,919m). When it’s covered in snow –only a few weeks a year–, it gets even more beautiful. It’s just spectacular.
