Chinese travel agents come to Málaga

A group of Chinese travel agents have come to the Málaga in a fam trip organised by the Costa del Sol Tourist Board upon request by Turismo Andaluz and the Spanish Embassy in China. The group comprised nine representatives of the Outbound Travel Department of the People’s Republic of China. They came to Málaga City escorted by a member of the Spanish Tourist Office in Beijing.

Number of Companies in the Hospitality and Catering Industries

In October 2009, the province of Málaga had 73,803 bed spaces available. This was 1.55 pct more than in October 2008, when bed spaces amounted to 72,679. Also, the number of hotels rose from 420 in October 2008 to 436 one year later.

The Tourist Board takes part in promotional campaign in Westfield London Shopping Centre

The Costa del Sol Tourist Board has taken part in the promotional campaign of Andalusia carried out at the Westfield London Shopping Centre. The campaign was aimed at bringing to end consumers the wide range of travel products found in Andalusia in terms of both suppliers and travel destinations, including the Costa del Sol. Direct marketing actions are becoming increasingly important due to the growing interest in individual holiday planning.

Chestnut Grove in Parauta

This municipality lies to the south of Sierra del Oreganal, reaching Valle del Genal and Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park to the east. It is here that Parauta’s Spanish fir woods can be found. The area combines rocky sierras with scarce vegetation and others with lavish plants and trees (chestnuts, holm oaks, pine trees, olives). To this we should add Sierra de las Nieves, of great environmental value.
